Ride of Thrones

450-mile bike ride from Edinburgh to London raising £40,000 for charity

In September 2014, Leonardo (as Selex ES) organised the 'Ride of Thrones' in aid of the Combined Services Disabled Ski Team (CSDST) (now AFPST), which saw a team of riders from Leonardo and CSDST cycle from one historic throne of power to another.

The 18-strong team, including several cyclists using specially designed hand-driven bikes, began the ride at Edinburgh Castle on 3 September and cycled 450 miles across the UK, arriving at the Tower of London on 9 September.

In total, over £40,000 was raised for the charity.
