Our software engineers play a key role in the whole product development lifecycle. They develop high-integrity real-time embedded software for our world-class radar and advanced targeting products. We use cutting-edge tools to develop processing solutions for multi-processor and multi-core targets.


Within a multi-disciplinary team, our engineers work closely with Systems, Electronics and Firmware colleagues to develop software from initial conception through to aircraft integration. Our software is key to delivering the capability of our products in areas such as: command and control, tracking, signal processing, image processing, navigation, HMI, interfacing and communications.


The Systems Engineering group works across the complete design lifecycle and is pivotal to ensuring our product designs are optimised to meet a wide range of challenging requirements. We work with customers and stakeholders to develop requirements for the design, with other engineers (Software, Mechanical, and Electronics) to allocate requirements, and manage changes to the requirements as designs develop.


Our Systems Engineers design the System Architecture and algorithms that deliver the capability expected from our world leading products. We model, simulate and analyse the design to investigate System performance throughout the evolution of the design in order to achieve the optimal solutions for our customers.

Test Solutions

Leading-edge radar and advanced targeting systems require leading-edge test capabilities. Our engineers develop test solutions to meet extremely demanding measurement requirements across Power, Digital, RF, Antenna and Electro-Optical systems for our suite of radar, defensive aids and targeting products.


Test solutions designed by our engineers assist with the full product lifecycle of integration, design verification activities and automation for cost effective product delivery. Our teams comprise multi-discipline professional engineers including test system designers, hardware designers, software developers, firmware developers, optical and mechanical design engineers.


Our Manufacturing & Supply Chain (M&SC) team support our diverse product portfolio across their complete lifecycle - ensuring the requirements of our customers are met. Working within our Centres of Excellence, our technicians utilise a range of sophisticated solutions and highly developed techniques across a range of capabilities:

  • Assembly, Integration and Test (AIT) of Electronic, Mechanical, Micro-electronic and Electro Optical products
  • New Product Introduction: The transition of emerging designs through Early Product Development into Series Production
  • Manufacturing Methods and Processes: Developing work instructions for AIT activities, defining methods, processes, tools and use of production aids
  • Manufacturing Management & Materials Control:  Management of manufacturing activities and material requirements for specific products
  • Material Logistics: Maintaining optimum material flow to and from the shop floor
